How We Work
We offer a variety of services aimed at transforming under-utilized outdoor spaces into functional gardens. By understanding the unique characteristics of each of our clients’ homes (including sun exposure, microclimates, irrigation, and aesthetic preferences) we are able to determine the best approach for each project.
Phase 1
1. Fill out the initial intake form here
2. Someone from our team will get back to you to set up a preliminary phone call to determine if your project, timeline, location and budget would be a good fit for us.
3. We come out for a one hour in-person consultation to further understand the scope of work required including:
drainage issues
plant choices
special considerations
hardscaping
desired use of space and overall design dreams
4. Our team will send detailed follow up notes of our discussion (as well as some visual references if applicable) and then you can decide if you would like to proceed with a design.
Phase 2
Based on our consultation, follow up notes and client feedback, we can begin our design phase. Design time is billed hourly, with a minimum number of hours suggested (generally based on project size and amount of detailing required). We use this design time to create:
aerial view design of your space which includes plant placement + hardscaping details
custom plant palette
lookbook with reference photos
We work with clients to reach a mostly completed design, at which point we bring in our contractor to provide additional insight and bid out the job. Assuming both the contractor’s bid as well as our bid is approved, we move forward into Phase 3.
Phase 3
All demolition, prep work, and hardscaping will be carried out by our contractor’s team.
We act as a liaison between the client and contractor to ensure design is being carried out properly with the original vision and intent.
We will oversee all project work, coordinate irrigation, plant placement, any detailing (fountains etc.) and be onsite or on-call during installation.
